You can use the resources on this page to raise awareness of the survey and encourage people living with diabetes to take part if they have been selected.

It is important that as many people as possible respond to the survey so that the results reflect the views of different people living with diabetes. The more people who take part in the survey, the better the quality of information we will have about the experiences of adults living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes at a local and national level in England.

Communications toolkit

The communications toolkit is designed to help promote and guide communications about the 2024 National Diabetes Experience Survey. We have developed this content to be suitable for the NHS as well as other organisations and charities to use. The toolkit focuses on encouraging participation from those who have been invited to take part in the survey by NHS England. We do not recommend that other organisations contact people living with diabetes directly about the survey, as this would introduce inconsistency between providers, and there is a chance this may lead to bias in the survey methodology.

You can find resources and more information in the communications toolkit. This includes details on:

  • Key messaging
  • Newsletter copy
  • Blog copy, including quotes from the survey Advisory Group
  • Social media posts (for X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)
  • Promotional resources (which can be used either in-person or online)
    • Videos of the Advisory Group (these will be available after fieldwork begins)
    • Posters, available in English and 11 other languages
    • Website banners
  • Icons
  • FAQs
